**What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)**
* Serve as the first point of contact for incoming billing customer service calls
* Provide optimum customer service for all patient inquiries and ensure quality assurance
* Answer high\-volume incoming communications from customers/patients
* Review and update patient account data, ensuring accurate insurance and demographic information
* Set up payment plans and process credit card payments over the phone
**What Is Required (Qualifications)**
* High school graduate or equivalent
* Knowledge of health plan benefits, including deductibles, copays, and coinsurance
* Ability to read, interpret, and explain Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and patient responsibility
* Experience in medical billing or medical billing certification preferred
* Familiarity with Mod Med/EMA practice management system is a plus

* Education in medical billing
* Previous experience in a customer service role within a healthcare setting
* Strong problem\-solving skills and ability to handle complaints diplomatically
* Excellent written communication skills for accurate documentation
* Experience with high\-volume call handling
