Source filter
We only ingest from places where real jobs actually live.
- Direct ATS systems: Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, iCIMS, Taleo
- Employer-owned career sites for vetted Tier 1 employers (Concentrix, TTEC, UnitedHealth Group, Aetna, etc.)
- Trusted aggregators: USAJobs (federal), Indeed RSS, ZipRecruiter feed
- Specialized platforms with verified contractor relationships: Rev, Appen, Outschool, Wyzant, Belay, Time Etc
We do not ingest from Craigslist, generic aggregators, social-media job posts, or any source where listings can be posted without employer verification.
AI red-flag detection
Every listing is read by Claude (Anthropic) against an explicit rubric.
Each ingested job is scored on two axes: a cushy score (0–100, how cushy is this role?) and a quality score (0–100, how legitimate is this listing?). We auto-reject anything below the bar.
Auto-reject triggers
- Commission-only or "earn unlimited" framing
- Requires upfront payment of any kind
- "Be your own boss" / "build your own business" language
- MLM keywords (downline, recruit, levels, team builder)
- Senior tech roles miscategorized as cushy
- Sales quota-driven roles
- Specific scam phrasings ("earn $5,000/week", "starter kit", "training fee")
- Quality score below 60
- Cushy score below 50
Apply-URL re-verification
Every 12 hours we re-fetch every apply link.
If the link 404s, redirects to a different domain, or starts requiring suspicious things (PII before login, payment, etc.), we mark the listing expired immediately and 301 the URL to the relevant category page.
This is what powers the "Last verified [date]" stamp on every job page. If a listing wasn't re-verified in the last 24 hours, we don't show it.
Community reports
Every listing has a 'Report this job' link.
If 2 or more users report a listing for any reason (closed, misleading pay, scam, broken link), it goes into manual review. 5 or more reports auto-removes the listing while we investigate. False reports are rare; even when they happen, the cost of a temporarily-removed real listing is much lower than leaving a scam up.
Edge cases we handle differently
- 1099 contractor roles (Rev, Appen): these are legitimate, but pay structures differ from W-2 jobs. We label clearly and break out hourly equivalents based on per-task pay rates.
- BPO multi-client placements: when Concentrix, TTEC, or Sutherland hire you to support a client they don't name, we surface the listing but flag that the end-client is unnamed.
- Contracted federal roles: we re-verify against USAJobs for clearance and remote-eligibility status.
- Online surveys: only verified platforms (UserTesting, Prolific, Respondent.io) are listed. We never link to "earn $X/day" survey aggregators.
What we promise
- No listing without a verified pay range. Ever.
- No listing where the employer is unfindable on Glassdoor or LinkedIn.
- Every listing carries a "Last verified" stamp. If you don't see one, the listing isn't live.
- Every reported scam is reviewed within 24 hours.
- When we make mistakes, we publish them.
