**What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)**
* Perform scheduling functions in a high\-volume, fully computerized environment
* Act as a professional liaison for staff, other hospital personnel, medical staff, and physicians' offices
* Utilize knowledge of anesthesia procedures and related functions to assist in scheduling
* Provide strong customer service and problem\-solving support to patients and staff
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with hospital standards
**What Is Required (Qualifications)**
* Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
* Minimum of three (3\) years of previous medical\-related clerical experience or an associate's degree
* Strong organizational and communication/customer service skills
* Proficiency in utilizing computer applications
* Demonstrated problem\-solving skills
**How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)**
* Previous experience in a hospital/medical office scheduling environment
* Familiarity with computerized scheduling systems
* Experience in insurance precertification
* Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of responsibility
* Strong customer service experience working with patients and clinicians
