**What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)**
* Answer telephone calls and assess the urgency of calls, providing assistance or directing callers as necessary
* Schedule patient appointments and resolve scheduling conflicts, notifying patients of changes or cancellations
* Build and modify provider master schedules and clinic calendars while accommodating time off and emergencies
* Book diagnostic tests and specialized appointments, ensuring patients receive necessary paperwork and instructions
* Maintain inventory of office supplies and educational materials while overseeing support staff when necessary
**What Is Required (Qualifications)**
* Minimum of four years of related work experience, with at least two years in the same job family at a lower level, or two years of experience plus an Associate degree
* Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
* Proven ability to handle heavy phone volume and exercise sound independent judgment
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage conflicting demands
* Well\-developed English language skills for accurate typing and handling of confidential patient information
**How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)**
* Experience scheduling in a high\-volume healthcare\-related call center or medical practice
* Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology
* Familiarity with EPIC scheduling and electronic medical record systems
* Experience with multi\-line telephones and call queues
* Spanish speaking
