**Job Overview**
We are seeking a motivated and detail\-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage the company's business clients' financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support the organization’s financial health by maintaining precise bookkeeping practices, preparing financial reports, and assisting with various accounting functions. **Responsibilities**
* Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop \& QuickBooks Online
* Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure consistency across all accounts
* Record journal entries, including debits \& credits, to reflect all financial transactions correctly
* Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify account accuracy
* Assist with payroll processing and tax\-related tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
* Prepare detailed financial reports and support budgeting activities for various departments or projects
**Requirements**
* Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
* Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and double\-entry bookkeeping methods
* Knowledge of governmental accounting, non\-profit accounting, and public accounting practices is a plus
* Familiarity with financial concepts such as general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and journal entries
* Ability to perform bank reconciliation, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately
* Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; proficiency in 10 key typing is preferred
* Effective communication skills for financial report writing and collaboration with team members
* Prior experience in payroll processing, tax compliance, or technical accounting is advantageous
