**Bookkeeper (Remote)** We are seeking precision\-driven financial operators who create order, visibility, and integrity for growing businesses. You will act as the architect of a client’s financial clarity, ensuring the business runs on a predictable financial engine. This is not a data\-entry role; it is a performance role. **THE IMPACT** Your effectiveness is measured by the environment you create: * **Financial Visibility:** Leaders have a real\-time "dashboard" to make faster, bolder strategic decisions. * **Operational Rhythm:** The business gains a predictable financial engine that runs smoothly on autopilot. * **Compliance Peace of Mind:** Tax, payroll, and audit risks are managed with total precision. * **Executive Capacity:** Leaders remain focused on their high\-level mission, completely removed from the spreadsheets. **CORE RESPONSIBILITIES** * **Visibility \& Decision Support:** Deliver high\-quality financial statements and proactive budget oversight to serve as a "true north" for the client. * **Operational Consistency:** Own the weekly and monthly financial rhythms—from seamless reconciliations to managing payables and receivables. * **Compliance \& Risk Mitigation:** Execute payroll, tax filings, and 1099s with 100% accuracy while maintaining audit\-ready records. * **Capacity Enablement:** Handle the heavy lifting of QBO management and e\-commerce accounting to eliminate the client's mental burden. **TECH ENABLED PRODUCTIVITY** Use AI (e.g., Dext, Bill.com) and AI\-driven reporting to automate reconciliations, integrate financial ecosystems, and elevate reporting speed without sacrificing accuracy. **LOGISTICS** * Remote (U.S. only; excluding CA, CO, MT, NJ, NY, PA) * 1099 Contractor \| Starting at $20/hour * Monthly pay based on contracted hours; hours not guaranteed **WHO YOU ARE** * Strategic operator who understands that precision is the foundation of a client's decision\-making. * Resourceful problem\-solver who resolves reconciliation discrepancies independently. * Professional advisor capable of handling sensitive financial data with maturity and discretion. * Anticipatory thinker who identifies cash flow trends and risks before they become problems. * 3 \+ Years of managing full\-cycle bookkeeping independently * QBO experience required, plus integrations (Stripe, Shopify, Gusto, etc.) * Experience owning month\-end close without supervision * Industry exposure (e\-commerce, agencies, SMBs) **THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF** * You require a manager to assign your daily tasks or reconcile your accounts. * You view bookkeeping as "back\-office" data entry rather than a client\-facing partnership. * You struggle with technology or prefer manual workflows over automated systems. * You only have AP/AR experience * No client\-facing experience * Lack of ownership of full financial cycle **WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE** The financial close is completed accurately and on time every month, workflows are fully optimized, and the client trusts your judgment implicitly as a critical member of their leadership team.
