We’re looking for a reliable, organized, and proactive **Virtual** **Personal \& Office Assistant** to help with both business and personal administrative tasks. This role is ideal for someone who is detail\-oriented, trustworthy, communicative, and comfortable handling a wide variety of responsibilities.
The assistant will help keep daily operations organized, reduce administrative clutter, and make sure important tasks do not fall through the cracks.
This is a freelance position, not an employee position. The starting pay is $18/hour, paid every two weeks, as an introductory trial hourly rate. This would increase to $20/hour after the first 60 days, with guaranteed raises every 6 months. Additional benefits may include: on\-the\-job training for other positions within the company, including design, social media marketing, SEO marketing, Wordpress development and more.
**Responsibilities may include:**
* Managing email, calendar, reminders, and appointments
* Scheduling meetings and coordinating with clients, vendors, contractors, and service providers
* Organizing files, documents, receipts, invoices, and shared folders
* Helping track projects, deadlines, and follow\-ups
* Researching services, products, vendors, travel options, or local resources
* Making phone calls, sending messages, and following up on pending items
* Assisting with basic bookkeeping organization, expense tracking, and receipt collection
* Helping prepare documents, simple spreadsheets, checklists, and summaries
* Coordinating personal errands, deliveries, appointments, reservations, or household tasks
* Researching a variety of service providers, including insurance providers, educational institutions, medical providers and more as needed.
* Keeping task lists organized in tools like Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar, Asana and similar platforms.
**The right person is:**
* Highly organized and dependable
* Comfortable working independently
* Good at following instructions and asking clear questions when needed
* Discreet and trustworthy with confidential information
* Strong written communication skills
* Fluent English speaker/reader/writer
* Comfortable using Google Workspace, email, spreadsheets, calendars, and online tools
* Able to research things carefully and summarize options clearly
* Flexible and willing to help with both professional and personal tasks
* Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required
* Ideal candidates will be from the US, but we're definitely open to the right candidate from other locations.
**Requirements:**
* Prior experience as a personal assistant, office assistant, virtual assistant, executive assistant, or administrative coordinator preferred
* Strong attention to detail
* Reliable internet and computer access
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Comfortable with changing priorities and a variety of tasks
* References preferred
* Must be available during the majority of standard business hours for the Eastern Standard Time Zone of the United States
**Hours:**
This role will start at approximately **5\-10 hours per week**, with the ultimate goal of **20\+ hours per week** as we develop a working relationship.
