Advanced Math and SAT/ACT Math Tutor

**Company Description** Larson Tutoring \& Test Prep is a boutique tutoring company located in SW Portland, Oregon. The candidate will tutor advanced math curriculum as well as test prep on the math side of the SAT / ACT. Our business is known for hiring some of the best people in the field who are not only highly skilled teachers but also personable, flexible and communicative. **Role Description** This is a part\-time (5\-15 hours), in\-person / zoom independent contractor position for an Advanced Math / SAT Math Tutor based in Portland, OR. The role involves delivering one\-on\-one sessions, assisting students in mastering advanced math concepts and SAT / ACT preparation. Key responsibilities include creating tailored lesson plans, providing clear explanations, helping with problem\-solving, and tracking students' progress, and communicating with parents clearly and often. We like to create a patient and engaging learning environment for all of our kids, so flexibility is key. **Required Qualifications** * Strong proficiency in Mathematics, including Precalculus, AP Calculus (AB/BC), Statistics * Extensive Teaching / Tutoring Experience * Professional Zoom Account / Online Teaching Proficiency * Master's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field * Excellent Communication skills for explaining concepts and engaging with students * Patience, adaptability, and a flexibility * Ability to work on\-site in SW Portland, OR **Preferred Qualifications** * Prior SAT / ACT Test Prep Teaching Experience * SAT / ACT English / Reading Teaching Experience * Experience working with students with ADHD and other learning disabilities **What We Offer** * Competitive pay ($50\-75/hr) * Ability to set your own schedule Pay: $50\.00 \- $75\.00 per hour Benefits: * Flexible schedule Work Location: Hybrid remote in Portland, OR 97239
