Academic Support/Executive Function Tutor

Our business is known for hiring tutors who are not only highly skilled teachers but also personable, flexible and communicative. **Role Description** This is a part\-time (5\-15 hours), in\-person / zoom independent contractor position for an Academic Support/Executive Function Tutor based in Portland, OR. The role involves planning/conducting 1:1 tutoring sessions geared at assisting students with executive function (organization, managing grades, self\-advocacy, study skills, etc.). As the academic support role includes managing multiple courses, the ideal candidate will have proficiency (or willingness to acquire proficiency) in a diverse range of subjects at the middle school and early high school levels, including Social Studies, Writing/English, Math, and/or Spanish. Key responsibilities include creating tailored lesson plans, providing clear instruction, tracking students' progress, and communicating with parents clearly and often. We welcome candidates who are patient, engaging, warm, and flexible. **Required Qualifications** * Extensive Teaching / Tutoring Experience * Experience working with students with ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, and other learning disabilities * Professional Zoom Account / Online Teaching Proficiency * Master's degree in Education, or a related field * Excellent Communication skills for explaining concepts and engaging with students * Ability to work on\-site in SW Portland, OR **Preferred Qualifications** * Executive Function coaching experience * SAT/ACT English/Reading Teaching Experience **What We Offer** * Competitive pay ($55\-70/hr) * Ability to set your own schedule Pay: $55\.00 \- $70\.00 per hour Benefits: * Flexible schedule Work Location: Hybrid remote in Portland, OR 97239
